Recent research suggests that medical marijuana may ease inflammation associated with Crohn’s disease flare-ups, reducing pain and helping those with Crohn’s disease enjoy a better quality of life.
One research study confirmed this by studying 50 people with active Crohn’s disease. The group that applied marijuana oil for eight weeks experienced better quality of life and reduced symptom severity than the group that used a placebo.
In another study, the patients who smoked cannabis cigarettes for eight weeks achieved remission more frequently than those who smoked placebo cigarettes.
